Inside the Final Repository

After passing all four Keeper Trials and earning the trust of the Keepers, they reveal the entrance to the final dark magic repository build by the House Elf Bragbor for Isidora Morganach (the partnership between the two of which you learn during In the Shadow of the Mountain) is in fact just beneath the Map Chamber; itself beneath the foundations of Hogwarts.

Traversing the caverns towards the final repository, Ranrok's Loyalists are a step ahead of you, so you must face off continued heavy resistance from Goblins and Trolls as you push forward. Just as you seem outmatched, the other Professors of Hogwarts all arrive to lend a hand in the battle, distracting the remaining enemies and allowing you to slip through.

After pacifying two large Pensieve Guardians positioned outside the final repository using the Keepers' Wand, you and Professor Fig head into the cavern housing the magical container, and discuss what you wish to do with it. This is where there is a minor branching path, depending on whether you choose to keep the magic contained, or open it to wield the power for yourself. This choice dictates whether you receive the "good" or "bad" ending.

After Fig either agrees or disagrees with you dependent on your dialogue choice, Ranrok arrives into the chamber behind you, wielding Professor Fig's wife, Miriams, wand.

After insulting Miriam, Ranrok casts a devastating spell that destroys the final repository, freeing the dark magic. Ranrok then absorbs the dark magic and takes on an entirely new form, that of a red spectral dragon.

Ranrok performs a number of strafing attacks against you and Fig, with the final one causing debris to fall from the ceiling of the cavern and seemingly crush and kill Fig. Falling down a slope, you begin your final battle against Ranrok.

After finally defeating him, the cavern continues to crumble and the dark magic seems impossible to control, and your next step depends on which dialogue choice you made when speaking to Fig earlier.

Keep it Contained - Good Ending

If you told him you would keep it contained, you attempt to prevent the chamber from falling apart, yet falter, and as all seems lost, Fig comes in and saves the day. Reassuring you of your strength, you cast a powerful spell that, after a great deal of effort, absorbs all the escaped dark magic back into a new repository container.

Professor Fig collapses from his wounds, and you give him Miriam's wand, to which he tells you Miriam would have loved you, and that the Wizarding World is safe in your hands, before sadly dying.

Open the Repository - Bad Ending

If you told him you want to open the repository and harness the dark magic yourself, you alone continue to cast spells at the escaped dark magic until it surrenders to your will. Your eyes flash red, and you cast an incredibly powerful spell that draws the remaining dark magic into a repository, presumably so you can use it whenever you choose. With Fig already being dead from the debris earlier, you pick up Miriam's wand and thank her, before controlling the wisps of dark magic floating around the room.

Bidding Farewell to Professor Fig

Regardless of your choice regarding the repository, the fight is over. With Ranrok and his rebellion thwarted, as well as the immediate threat of dark magic on the loose, you return to your classes for the remainder of the school year. You join your fellow students and professors in the Great Hall to share a moment of reflection and remembrance for Professor Fig, raising a glass in his name.

Though the story is over, there is still one final ceremony in the school year to partake in, The House Cup. With your reputation over the last year skyrocketing, and Hogwarts being saved thanks in large part to your efforts, Professor Weasley awards your House an additional 100 points at the last moment in the ceremony, causing your House to be the victor of the House Cup, as you and fellow students from your House celebrate.
