(UPI)-A federal grand jury was scheduled to open its third session of the new year Thursday in its investigation of possible skimming of gambling profits to avoid taxes. At its second secret meeting of 1967, the jury Tuesday night heard four witnesses including singer Frank Sinatra's personal attorney, Rudin.

Rudin testified behind closed doors for more than an hour. In its first two sessions of the new year, the federal panel has spent much of its time hearing from persons connected with either the Sands Hotel on the Las Vegas strip or the Cal Neva Lodge at Lake Tahoe. Sinatra was part owner and a licensee of both casinos before his gambling license was revoked. City Fire Alarms Wednesday 8:55 a.m. 2200 S.
